Objective


To obtain a position within a team environment, in order to better utilize my many years of all phases of electrical and mechanical design, engineering, construction, estimating, bid proposal, trouble shooting, turn key, repair, hands on installation, training, operating cost reduction and ability to manage all phases of construction projects and maintenance in order to ensure a profit and cover overhead expenses and minimize operating cost.

2000–Now C.P. Louisiana Inc. New Orleans, LA Name Changed November 2006 now Grief Packaging. www.greif.com Maintenance Supervisor Maintain and repair production equipment.Implement and perform P.M. Program.Design and install new equipment in order to reduce gas, electricity, and water consumption and to increase production and improve quality.Utilize my experience to change existing equipment and specify component on new equipment in order to achieve a standard of on conveyors, motors, gear boxes, chains, shaft and bearings, PLC’s, distribution, air compressor oil, motor protection, pneumatic components and oil, burner controls to name a few in order to minimize spare parts and ensure quick repairs / change out of inoperable equipment during breakdowns and before breakdowns to increase production and minimize stock and down time. Re-Design production line layout in order to reduce man power and increase production.Supervise electricians, mill rights and machinist and work close with as a team, production employee’s, production managers, accounting and quality managers to ensure as a team that we can increase production reduce cost and minimize down time and man power but still produce a quality product in a timely and efficient manner.Implementing training course safety and job position speeding profitability while maintaining a safe environment.



1991–2000 Con–Tech Power Systems Lakeshore, MS

Vice President Duties included but not limited to overseeing the manufacturing facility and all operations, overseeing field service operations, monitoring job cost, providing spreadsheet to president outlining estimates vs. actual figures on jobs current and past.Chaired weekly team meetings in order to gather information from fellow team members in trying to alleviate cost overrun.

President of Con-Tech Power Systems of Louisiana, duties included but not limited to estimating, bid proposal preparation and submittal, engineering and design, drawing package submittal and regulatory acceptance, hiring and providing team leadership to several electrical teams during multiple projects while maintaining project management complete supervision. Negotiating pricing and terms with customers and/or vendors, project scheduling, material take off, material ordering and procurement, material acceptance, preparing cable schedule, voltage drop calculations, load analysis, short circuit analysis, power and lighting and control one-line diagrams, change order preparation, submittal and negotiating, regulatory acceptance and approval. Managing multiple construction projects and also traveling throughout United States and Overseas to provide start-up on generator controls and repairs.

Electrician / Field Engineer, duties included but not limited to start-up, repair and re-designing per customer request or initial design errors on generator control and power distribution switchgear (120/208, 240, 480, 4160 parallel and non-parallel, manual and auto operation), motor control centers and motor controls (FVNR, FVR, Reduced Voltage, solid state/auto transformer type up to 3000 HP), trouble shooting and repair of all power, distribution and control equipment.Fire & Gas Detection, Navigation Systems, Communication Systems (Sound Powered Phone, CCTV Etc.Implemented training course for new recruits — speeding profitability.

1984–1991 Gretna machine & Iron Works Harvey, LA Maintenance / Construction Electrician Maintenance and repair / preventive maintenance of all electrical and mechanical equipment at facility. ( Cranes, Welding Machines, Pantographs, Gas Free Plant Apparatus, Power and Distribution Etc).Marine Electrical construction on new and repair projects, duties included but not limited to design, equipment selection, welding and fabricating raceways, penetrations and equipment mounting, installation, termination and testing of all system to include regulatory and customer testing and acceptance
