• Single point of contact for purchasing and expediting all Norfolk Naval Shipyard E-Mall requisitions acquiring off-the-shelf, finishing goods and services from the commercial marketplace and government sources for the ships overhead and support.
• Release and create carts provided by Ships Projects, Shop Stores and Equipment Specialist to procure through Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Department of Defense E-Mall using MILSTRIP funding releasing orders up to $120,000 for Shops, Codes and Naval vessels on and off site.
• Responsible for ensuring all material is purchased and requisitions are processed accurately into the Supply System, Material Access Technology (MATP), in a timely manner.
• Process Material Requirements (MRQT) to award documents that are sent the through the system on a daily report.
• Process routine, voyage repairs, nuclear, non-nuclear, bearer pick up and Tiger Team requisition requirements.
• Work as a liaison with System Account Managers and vendors that accept MILSTRIP billing. Apply communication skills to execute problem resolutions between customer and vendor.
• Expedite the purchase material. Perform a variety of technical support duties related to maintaining accounts and records, completing individual transaction, providing customer service and conducting data searches.
• Determine delivery dates and actions required to ensure delivery to end user to meet scheduled production dates. Independently analyze.
• Resolves and provide feedback to ships originators and project, query requirements and material availability, requesting status and other information for the shipyard overhaul or conversion of the naval vessels from receipt demand and documents until receipt and delivery of the material to the projects.
• Review and analyze requisitions and status until material is delivered. Track ordered material confirming that order is shipped as scheduled and resolve issues that may delay delivery date.
• Update valid status into MATP Norfolk Naval Shipyard Computer System database with the information provided from various sources retrieved and use data to respond to issues, identify reasons for transaction errors and make corrections visible.
Jan 01 – Dec 03 FLEET and INDUSTRIAL SUPPLY CENTER (FISC), NORFOLK NAVAL SHIPYARD ANNEX Portsmouth, Virginia
General Clerk III (Management Consulting, Inc)
• In addition to my duties as a General Clerk II, as a General Clerk III duties included inputting Job Material List (JML) from Shop Stores, Ships and various codes onto the database for credit card purchasing.
• Create JML’s for office supplies and place orders when stock is low. Responsible for resolving system and contract material exceptions. Exceptions are material that is received and cannot be processed and/or moved through normal operating procedures because of improper, incomplete or unidentified and receipt material.
• Identify supporting receipt documents and material descriptions of documentation for material receipts by providing contract and document numbers, routing information, correct nomenclature, quantities, etc., thus allowing receipt of the document.
• Assist credit card buyers in reconcile monthly statements. Provide purchasing information to the Supply Specialist in the Shipyard’s Receiving Warehouse when needed.
• Verifies supply codes, exception data, etc., to ensure material is shipping to the proper destination.
• Confirming documentation of shipment is correct thus allowing shipped items to then be processed.
Feb 98 – Dec 00 FISC, NORFOLK NAVAL SHIPYARD ANNEX Portsmouth, Virginia
General Clerk II (Management Consulting, Inc, S3 Ltd)
• Input purchasing data into MATP from credit card IMPAC buyers after material is awarded and verify each document to validate data is error free on purchase value, vendor’s name, number, point of contact and other pertinent notes stipulated on the award.
• Instituted effective filing system for quick referencing. Work closely with the Project Managers enabling timely processing of Hot and Urgent Walk-Thru requirements.
• Establish the contracting of the Letter of Agreement (LOA) between the Norfolk Naval Shipyard to small and minority owned businesses nationwide.
• Highly skilled in uses of office corporation application software such MATP, APPWORX, practices and procedures in the performance of general office support work, Word processing, personal computer, and associated equipment.
• Perform clerical related duties such as print documents, fax, office routing, proof document, run daily reports, file and operate multiple phone lines.
• Collect, sort and maintain data report.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor. Maintain a close responsive relationship to the day-to-day activities between the supervisor and employees.

• Review vouchers for accuracy and ensured correct information making changes if needed while maintaining and modifying a complex filing system.
• Provide clerical and administrative support for supervisors and perform a variety of administrative and office automation duties which are auxiliary to the work of the organization. As well as perform other duties assigned by supervisor.
