I am an experienced hardworking professional who is dependable yet friendly. I am highly motivated and work well as a team member but can also be trusted to produce results with no supervision. I am patient and tactful, working well under pressure. I possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills and provide a high standard of work. The position I held in the UK was fast paced and high pressured and a great deal of responsibility was entrusted to me to work on my own initiative to crew vessels correctly and meet tight deadlines on a daily basis. I had to ensure correct certification and experience was present not only for the vessel but for the area in which that vessel was working. I had to deal with ad hoc problems such as sickness, unauthorised absence or injury in the workplace and ensure that the vessels never stopped sailing. I am proud to say that I succeeded in everything that I was tasked to do. When there was a quieter moment, I concentrated on office tasks such as scheduling the crew, recruiting new personnel and inducting them, dealing with disciplinaries and grievances, manpowering planning and forecasting and meeting with potential new clients and agents to help bring in new revenue. With my character, skills and the knowledge that I hold, I am confident that I will be an asset to your organisation.
