Skils

What I have to offer an employer are these basic work ethics:

I have a record of being reliable, hard working, a self-starter, and willing to learn and tackle jobs that I am not necessarily comfortable with (I have pushed myself to become more computer proficient, a better public speaker, and better at writing reports). Though I have often found myself in leadership roles, I prefer to lead by example. Working hard, helping the crew to find tasks to work on during downtime in order to be prepared for our next assignment, as well as doing Physical Training to make sure we can perform our duties well.

Without experience directly related to offshore, I am applying for an entry level position with the intention to advance as I learn more about the industry. I am a former Marine Aviation Mechanic, Journeyman Tree Trimmer, and Engine Boss on a Federal Government Wildland Firefighting Crew.

My wife and I have decided to move to Louisiana where I am looking to find an offshore oil production position. Once this piece of the puzzle is solved, the rest is in place. My wife is self-employed and we have no children, so the transition should be relatively easy.

Understandably, I will start at an entry level position. Hopefully looking at my resume, prospective employers will see that I am willing to take a chance, and want to learn new skills, and additionally, feel I would be a great asset to your crew.
