Objective
My objective is to pay my way through classes and certifications and to hold at minimum a 100 ton masters license and be the engineer. Ideally i would like to run private yatchs.
Experience
I have worked at Electra Cruises for five years now. I started working in the galley until i eventually worked up to be able to serve and learn how to be a deckhand. Currently I am a full time employee working as their engineer and a first mate in board each of the five vessels. My actual experience ranges from cooking, cleaning, service staff, general safety, line handling, controlling crowds, general engine maitenence, oil changes, impeller changes, fuel filter changes, troobleshooting problems, handling situations while underway, I was lead deckhand on all Coast guard inspections for the company, ensuring proper docking procedures and training new crew and retraining old crew to ensure they can accomplish their jobs in a neat, clean, and timely fashion. I have been involved in one rescue at sea and one an overboard situation.
