Summary of Skills & Experience: (19 Yrs ) Joined Indian Navy on Oct 1986 On completion of Diploma in Electrical & Electronics Engineering in 1985.

·15 years of practical experience with Indian Navy Submarine in operations, technical support, planning, execution, maintenance, defect analysis, rectification and installation of Various electrical equipments onboard the Indian Naval Submarines & establishment.

· 04 Years in DRDL (R&D wing), Hyderabad Since 19 Nov 2001in the High Technology Project in the Launch Control and Check Out Division design & development, modifications, in the Article fire control System and cable harness.

· Involved in EMI/EMC test, Environmental Test andQA/QC.

· Specification generation & design of Relay boxes for Launch Control System and store procurements activities.

· Well versed in preventive and breakdown maintenance and developing machinery for back up in breakdown situations

· Pivotal link between various work centers and scientist during article test.

· Excellent relationship management & negotiation skills with proficiency at liaising with vendors/ suppliers.( As a commissioning Crew of Indian built Submarine Shankul had a very good liaison experience with civilian and completed the work in time)

· Experience in providing technical assistance on board warships, submarines & afloat maintenance, for faultfinding, testing tuning of indigenous & imported machinery.

· Capable and Experienced in handling a team of Engineers, Technicians and work men during Article realisation and development phase.

Chief tasks handled

Operations/ Maintenance

· Manage operation & maintenance activities of electrical &electronics warfare equipments and auxiliary machinery control systems.

· Monitor maintenance expenses with optimum utilisation of resources.

· Track daily breakdowns, implementing preventative maintenance programmes to improve the efficiency of the system or the equipment undergoing maintenance.

· Identify areas of improvement and recommending process modifications and equipment calibrations to enhance operational efficiencies of equipments.

· Effectively used Conditioned Based Preventive maintenance system to reduce the maintenance time and cost for electronic equipments.

· QA/QC and EMI/EMC standards implementation team member.

MIS Reporting

· Prepare failure analysis report for minimizing downtimes by providing quick turn around responses and efficient solutions.

· Prepare preventive, predictive and breakdown charts.

· Team member of SLMS (Ships Logistic Management System) Programme launching at Material Superidentent (Navy) – Mumbai.

Planning and Execution

· Plan schedules including resources, making procedures, Estimation and negotiation with Supplier firms.

· Execution of the planned job, monitoring with project schedule on day-to-day basis.

· Conduct Progress Review meeting with supplier once a week to monitor the progress.

· Specification finalisation data generation.

Contract Management

· Techno – commercial discussion with various suppliers.

· Identify alternate vendor (local) sources for cost & time efficiency.

· Select and procure Spares and equipments in co-ordination with consultants.

· Inspect incoming spares parts/equipments for ensuring quality as per technical guidelines.

Man Management
