Worked for Juneau Import Services as a mechanic on foreign cars. Starting pay was $21.50 per hour and final pay was $24.50 per hour. Reason for leaving: Company closed and relocated to interior Alaska.



September 1985 - October 1986

Juneau, Alaska - Heavy equipment and Diesel Technician



Coastal Machinery as a marine diesel and heavy equipment mechanic. Heavy marine diesel repairs on engines, gears, heat and air systems, vibration problems, shaft alignment, and repowers.

Chief engineer on boats from 100 to 138 feet tow & ship docking boats. Maintenance and repair on Cats, Emds, Fairbanks, Detroits, Alco's and Cummins engines. All aspects of maintenance on heat and air and water systems.
