Engine room Storekeeper / AMOS Controller and encoder
Controlling of spare part by using AMOS business suit and proper maintenance of tools. Good housekeeping of store room.
Experience
Working from Fred Olsen Cruise Line since 1996 to 2011 by contractual basis in three different passenger vessel as Engine storekeeper / AMOS controller and encoder. Here some wok description in the previous company.
1)To support the shipboard organization and safety organization.
Duties for a Technical inventory Controller
2) Initiate cost-effective measures using Amos system, such as consolidation of common items in the system, trimming stock min/max levels based on usage trends, re-ordering quantities at reasonable values to reduce %u2018frozen%u2019 capital, considering the on-time delivery convenient port to circumvent any further cost services.
3) Accountable for inventory control of entire ship%u2019s technical stores (Engine and Deck Stores) using AMOS system, which have an inventory of 40,000 (+/-) various types of items and spares.
4) Performs budget control, analysis and forecasting for both Engine and Deck Department. Leading and overseeing ship%u2019s technical ordering as well as to perform budget control, analysis and to foresee on ordering of spares and consumables.
5) Evaluations, development and enforcement of Storekeeping practices and procedures onboard.
6) Provide constant training and support to Engine storekeepers, officers and crew who are engage in Amos maintenance operation as well as creation of AVO%u2019s (Avoid Verbal Order job orders) onboard the ship.
7) Actively identifies store operation enhancement opportunities, develops alternatives, and recommends needed improvements to the process.
8) Set-up of Components and stock items in Amos system, those that are not yet registered, or newly equipment on board. Assists relevant officers in rectifying issues with all jobs work-orders in Amos system.
9) Ensures stock values on all stores/shelves and Amos system are as per approved stock levels and its re-Ordering of on the said stock items below minimum values.
10) Receives stores onboard related to technical department and Receiving purchase orders in Amos system.
11) Prepares all relevant paper-work(proforma invoices (manifests) for goods to be landed in port) for equipments to be landed at shore-side facility for refurbishment and coordinating to Vessel%u2019s ship agent or Ship chandlers for proper pick up and custom arrangement.
12) Updating Amos stock management system stock values in timely basis, conducting cyclic inventory stock check including proper record keeping related to technical stores operations
13) Ensure vendor deliveries are as per requested specifications, Ensure Hazmat item (i.e. paint and chemicals) deliveries by vendors related to Technical dept have MSDS copies before receiving the materials onboard.
14) To administer the vessel%u2019s computerized maintenance system (AMOS for Windows),which includes the stocks updating of equipment, parts and consumables, work orders, requisitioning, importing and exporting(Replication) data and reporting etc.
