Experience


Untied States Army (Active) – 1981-1991

Airborne Infantry Sergeant (Paratrooper)



Traveled and trained all over the world and experienced many diverse cultures. The following are some of the specialized training in I received while serving on active duty:



Infantry School Airborne Parachute School

French Commando School Non Commissioned Officers Academy



Awarded Parachutist Badge, Army Commendation Medal, 2 Army Achievement Medals. Served as both an infantry rifle squad leader and platoon sergeant.



Prince George’s County Police Department - 1994-2001

Landover, Maryland



Served as a patrol division corporal supervising an eight patrol officers. Served as a civil disturbance team member, Served a narcotic investigator on a drug interdiction team.



Awards: Two Chiefs Merit Awards

Thirteen Letters of Commendation. (three letters were for valor



Maryland State Police - 2001-Present



Responsible for public safety and community policing within the State of Maryland. Currently assigned to Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Division. Collateral Assignments include; Southern Region Tactical Team member. Currently recalled to active duty and deployed to Afghanistan with the US Navy Reserve.

1998-2003

Special Boat Team Twenty, US Navy Special Warfare

Served as Boat Coxswain, Boarding Team Leader and Parachute Jumpmaster. Conducted numerous river and over the horizon maritime special operation missions in direct support of US Navy SEAL and other US Special Operation Forces.



2003-2005

Inshore Boat Unit Two-Five

Served as Weapons Department Leading Petty Officer, Boat Coxswain, unit Master at Arms (law enforcement specialist), tasked with maritime security missions in the Africa and the Persian Gulf region.



2005-2007

Naval Security Force, US Naval Academy, Annapolis, Maryland

Served as Chief Petty Officer in charge of the Special Operations Division that included the Special Response Team & Harbor Security Team Naval Security Forces US Naval Academy. Under my leadership the unit received a Meritorious Unit Citation from the Chief of Naval Operations.



2007-Present

Expeditionary Training Unit, Navy Expeditionary Combat Command

Officer in Charge of the unit’s Intelligence and Operations section. Serves as a Master Instructor and foreign military advisor / trainer. I am currently on deployment to Afghanistan. I am a trainer and mentor to the Afghan National Police until 1 December 2009 when I am scheduled to retire from the US Navy reserve.
