B: 5/04-1/05: Norwegian Cruise Lines America, 700 Bishop Street Suite 900, Honolulu, HI 96813. Electrical Engineering Officer (Operations) on board 882 foot NCL passenger ship converting to US Flag. 12KV X 70MW multipoint generation/ Siemens SF6 distribution. Responsible to Operational Command for status and repairs of generation systems and control status, Ship?s Radio Station & GMDSS, data-telephone satellite reception systems, Security Xrays, CCTV, Code Access, PABX, Radio Repeaters, Paging, PA, ECR Electronics and all Bridge and Navigation Equipment. Stood ?on call? watches on balance of 12 KV generation and electrical propulsion motors, electrical substations, and engine room equipment.



C: 1/04-5/04: US Army Corps of Engineers, Power Plant Electrician for the Walla Walla District, Lower Monumental Dam, Kahlotus, WA. Term position; 201 North Third Ave., Walla Walla, Washington, 99362-1876; Trudy Young in HR (509) 527-7023; One of several journeymen responsible for 12 hydro generating units. Primary assignment was completion of a high efficiency water head monitoring hydroelectric turbine control and SCADA system.



D: 5/03-11/03: US Army Corps of Engineers: Marine Electrician for the Portland District Dredge Operations Group, US Moorings, 8010 NW St Helens Road, Portland, OR 97210-3699. Supervisor: Jerry Gompers (503) 808-4556. Temporary Assignment. I was responsible for the continuing operations maintenance of complex power and control systems of dredging system. Duties included shipboard propulsion monitoring, navigation and communication systems. Major responsibility for status of newly installed 12KV SCR dredge pump SCADA and SCR drives.



E: 1/03-4/03: Oregon Iron Works, Hwy 312 at Clackamas, OR. Supervisor: Skip Johnson (503) 319-4899. Control room module assembly for the Ground Based Missile Defense System (Star Wars). Journeyman Electrician installing complex rigid steel conduit system and power distribution for USAF.



F: 5/01-6/02: Generator Reconditioning Electrician at Bonneville Dam, Unit #3 for Voith Siemens Hydro Power Division. Supervisor: Tom NcClellan (541) 374-8376 At the original Bonneville Dam, Siemens was refurbishing the turbine and generation units. I was participating in the construction and testing of the stator portion of the unit.



G: 6/00-10/00; DC Varidrive Electrician for Masthead Electrical Contractors. Supervisor: Steve Trafola (505) 321-2552. Masthead is an internationally recognized newspaper press drive specialist. We installed all new press DC drives (50 at 150 HP each) and controls interfaces for the Oregonian Newspaper. The goal was primarily energy efficiency and secondarily dependability. Drive dependability has a significant direct effect on newsprint waste.



H: 1/00-6/00; Power Systems Electrician the Department of Energy, Bonneville Power Administration, Construction Group,

(POB 491, Vancouver, WA.) Supervisor: Dan Glass (360) 418-2730.

BPA Construction Group responsibilities include all substation and high voltage transformer, bus and SF6 device installations. Voltages range primarily 230 and 500 KiloVolts. Certified in ABB 230 and 500 KV Circuit Breakers. Passed DOE Electrical Worker Exam.



I: 8/97-12/97; Electrical Construction Foreman for Cherry City / Mass Electric, Inc. (PO Box 12668, Salem, OR97309-0668 (503) 399-7609)

CCE/MEC served as a prime electrical contractor on the Wafertech project in Camas, Washington. This new facility is being built to manufacture silicon wafers to supply chip manufacturers? demands for such preliminary medium. My function was to serve as a construction coordinator, facilitator and supervisor for a group of ten electrical journeymen assembling automatic transfer switches (3000 ampere) and associated switchgear components.



J: 4/96-10/96; Electrical Supervisor and Linemen?s Coordinator for L. K. COMSTOCK & Co., (11141 SW Greenberg Rd., Tigard, OR. (503) 684-8553)

This company was the electrical construction contractor of the Catenary and Traction Electrification Substations for Siemens and Portland TriMet?s Westside Light Rail Project. My responsibilities included code, specification and contract compliance of subcontractors, employees and vendors, energy analysis assignment, volume, load and pull force calculations, contract component submittal compliance, permit procurement, inspection and subcontract finalizations.



K: 2/94-3/96; Construction Foreman for SILICON CHIP FACILITIES ?INTEL (2121 NW Thurman St., Portland, OR 97210 (503) 224-3511)

New construction of large silicon computer chip fabrication facilities (INTEL, INTEGRATED DEVICE TECHNOLOGIES and WACKER SILICONEX). Responsibilities included all aspects of installation of manufacturing electrical distribution, transformation and controls.



L: 6/87-5/88; Electrical Controls Designer for REFINED MOTION ENGINEERING (Santa Clara, CA.)

Controls Designer and inspector on complex material handling equipment drives located in very hazardous Class I environments. Customers included Morton-Thiokol, IBM and Pentax. My responsibilities included specification and selection of power equipment, distribution, protection, motor controllers and enclosures, conduit and wiring assemblies, position and sensor inputs, output interfacing and signal conditioning, rf, maintainability and integrity qualification. Implemented STD Bus and SyMax PLC controllers. Designed mechanical assembly, 3M control panel legends and control schematics utilizing AutoCad.



M: 2/81-6/87; Chief Lineman and Electrician at LOCKHEED MISSILE & SPACE CO. (3000 Empire Grade Santa Cruz, CA. (408) 422-7000)

Responsible for all maintenance of 13KV overhead system (110 miles) and all electrical functions at a high tech manufacturing facility comprised of 50 assembly and testing sites on a 7000 acre facility. Responsibilities included all electrical and pumping operations, expansions and improvements of conventional installations and custom electrical subsystems. Planned, installed and maintained generator capacities (1 MW) as well as multi-redundant (100 KW) systems backups. Supervised electrical safety, substations, personnel, inventory, records, subcontractors and customers.
