Electrical Supervisor and Training Specialist
Responsible for several large multi-million dollar projects at same time. Primary contact with clients, owner’s representatives, architects, subcontractors and work force. Performed estimating, safety inspection, monthly job analysis and requisitioning, and schedule contract updating.
• Develop and manage required field training exercises in support of course and job requirements in support of Longshoremen and Ordinance Disposal Teams.
• Accountable for bookkeeping and all aspects of Safety Lock and Tag-out Program, Disaster Preparedness and Department of Labor Apprenticeship Program for upward of 100 employees.
• Designated as Electrical Supervisor and Trainer of 50 Motor Rewind Technicians in the overhaul and refurbishment of motors, generators and closed couple pumps for Norfolk Naval Shipyards.
• Honored as OSHA, San Diego County Top Small Site Hazardous Waste Coordinator, from 2006 to 2008 Biannually Hazardous Material Preparatory Reports inspection.
• Electrical and Quality Assurance Officer, coordinating the maintenance and repairs of all shipboard power generation, distribution, Minesweeping, auxiliary equipment, and damage and disaster control measures.
• Navy Instructor and Metrology and Calibration Program Custodian (METCAL), of over 400 gauges and switches specialty testing equipment and Degaussing Systems.

Electrical Journeyman
Provided on-site technical support for electrical components in navigation, communication, and weapons systems. Represented component manufacturers in prototype testing and production operation of military electronics.
• Designed, conducted, and analyzed shipboard equipment tests and compared field results to laboratory and prototype test results.
• Conducted drills to remain at full readiness for casualty responses to electrical failures.
• Installed and repaired wiring, fixtures, and equipment for all electrical/electronic services aboard ship and in shipyard facilities, following blueprints and wiring diagrams.
• Use laptop and desktop workstation to troubleshoot problem sources on PLC and program controlled equipment in the machining, production and assembly areas of the plant. Filed reports and looked up parts.
• Provide assistance to internal and external auditors in compliance reviews.
