ROSHCON/ZESCO LIMITED – January 1996.
(a) Installation of meter boxes, earth rods, distribution boards, houses wiring and connecting of service mains.
(b) Installation of transformer structures, pole mounted transformers, 11kv lightning arrestors, earth marts, and installation of feeder pillars.
(c) Testing of various electrical installation and equipment. (Earth rod resistance testing and testing house installations).
ZESCO LIMITED – April 1997 TO DATE
(a) Faults diagnosis and rectification on medium and high voltage networks i.e. locating cable faults, mending cut conductors and line faults.
(b) Operation of medium and high voltage switch gear up to 33kv.
(c) Maintenance of electrical installation and equipment; namely transformers, line maintenance, up-rating of transformers that is introducing in re-enforcement transformers, splitting of medium voltage lines in order to balance the loads, and maintenance of switch gear such as ocbs, ring main units and sf6 circuit breakers.
(d) Testing of various electrical installation and equipment. i.e. phasing out lines, pressure testing, earth resistance testing, testing of cts and vts (determining their knee points and saturation points) and meter testing.
(e) Construction of both high and medium voltage power lines.
(f) Installation of both ground mounted and pole mounted transformers and its accessories.
(g) Installation of energy meters such as electro- dynamic and electronic meters both on residential and maximum demand customers.
(h) Planning for future expansion, re-routing power lines, identifying load centers and load balancing.
(i) Carrying out load analysis for various customers installations to assist in the up-grading and down-grading of tariffs.
(j) Planning shutdowns and managing all incidences associated to them i.e., load transfers, issuing of permit-to-work, and safety requirements until restoration.
(k) Designing of various electrical schematic drawings, panel layout and control systems for production.
(l) Installation of submersible pumps, induction motors and wiring of starter panels such as star-delta, direct-on-line, and transformer auto starter and as well as trouble shooting.
