1. Supervision of erection, cabling, termination of switchboards, transformers, power distribution boards, lighting DB’s & all type of electrical system in ship which are done by electrical contractors having skilled & non-skilled persons.
2. Responsible for inspection, testing, operation, maintenance and commissioning of electrical equipment and panels like main switch board (Power Management System), transformers (up to 250KVA 440/230V, 3ph, 50/60 Hz.) Rectifiers cum battery chargers, power distribution boards, LV control panels, etc.
Testing and commissioning with service engineer of the DG sets (up to 900 kW, 440V, 60Hz), main engines, fire protection systems, preparation of working drawings for the work schedule, coordination at site with customers / base office regarding drawing manpower and material required for projects. Liaise with customer/contractors to carry out checks of electrical works and carry out correction with the help of drawing & preparation of bill of materials for projects.
