I am an Electrical Engineer. I have been employed by Northern Marine as the ETO on Forerunner a ro-ro vessel. My responsible was to oversee and carry out maintenance, repairs and modifications of the electronic / electrical systems on board the ship, including high voltage. My key responsibilities was the communication system, electrical systems, motors and generators, transformers, lighting systems, alarm and control systems, all electrical power systems, video and entertainment systems, switchboards, communication system and navigation systems, plus the ship’s computer and network system etc.
My work ashore was an Electrical Maintenance Supervisor. My master electrician certificate qualifies me to work or supervise people on High Voltages installation up to 1000 volts.
