Objective
Work with the Marine department on a FPSO
Experience
Perform all daily stability calculations and maintain proper stability for safe operations. Perform damage, hurricane preparation and rig move stability. Operate/monitor positioning equipment for station keeping. Operate/monitor x&y band radar for collision avoidance. Monitor fire and gas detection equipment. Respond and direct personnel to affected areas or safe areas for all rig emergency situations. Control boat movement around the rig. Responsible for monitoring all bulk materials to include water fuel and cement coming on or off the rig. Monitor company radio station and telephone lines. Monitor vhf radio for vessel movement and distress calls and aircraft and helicopter movement. Operate/monitor all navigation equipment. Make a daily and written report of marine operations and rig consumables for clients report. Use of nautical charts to plot course when undertow and figuring anchor line length for rig moves around templates. Also during this time I have held numerous jobs to get to my present one. I have been a roustabout, motorman, mechanic and boson. I have a list of all the duties and responsibilities and training of these jobs. Worked as a motorman for a year. Maintenance on cat engines and air compressor, fuel usage and many different pumps and motors.
