United Ocean Services/TECO Ocean Shipping 1 June 2000 - 28 Aug 2008 Director of Engineering responsible for the maintenance and repair of an 11 vessel fleet comprised of Handy size bulk ships and ocean going tug/barge units. Responsible for the research and composition of annual routine maintenance, major project, and A&G budgets. {erformed financial analysis and presentation of capital improvement projects. Direct interface with higher echelon executives, Class and regulatory contacts, and was regularly a company representative at industry functions. Supervised a department of 10 engineers managing projects in various locations worldwide simultaneously. During my tenure with United Ocean I have had Operations management positions and managed a fleet of 4 vessels and over 110 personnel.
Moran Towing, January 1999 - June 2000 Project Manager
Responsible for the drydock repair projects of the company's fleet of tank vessels. During my 18 months with Moran I docked 4 vessels handling all emergent and planned work, class interface, and budget control functions. Surveyed and provided specifications for shipyard projects.
American Bureau of Shipping; December 1997 - January 1999
Surveyor. Primary duties were to ovefsee the construction of 240 and 260 foot Off Shore Supply vessels at Ingall's Shipyard in Pascagoula MS. Also conducted surveys after construction on a variety of vessels and drilling rigs.
