Responsible for maintenance and operation of all technical equipment onboard, including budget responsibility, forecast and planning, dry-docking and major repairs projects of the assigned vessels. I provide assistance on the whole fleet management. Overseeing a budget in excess of ten million dollars as well as Capital Expenditure Projects budget of several million dollars. Reporting in straight line to SVP, Marine Operations and Refurbishment. Broader range of responsibilities than in my previous company involving Fleet projects. Successfully planned, managed and executed fleet technical projects as well as successfully implemented fleet maintenance procedure within both ISO9001 and ISO14000.

Deck & Engine Superintendent / Ship Manager, Marine Operations., 01/06 – 07/08
Responsible for Carnival Conquest and Carnival Victory , respectively 110,000 GRT and 88,000 GRT .Maintains frequent communications with Fleet Management organization, to assist in the selection and installation of machinery, equipment and safety appliances to ensure compliance with applicable regulations, safety and environmental policies from class and governing agencies. ?Support onboard repair and maintenance and oversee dry-dock planning and technical budgets of the Deck, Engine and Hotel Departments, in coordination with Marine and Electrical Superintendents to ensure approval from the Flag state, class, or other government bodies for any changes to the construction or equipment onboard.
Responsible for planning and maintaining the assigned ships’ budget. Oversee Capital Expenditure requests related to fields of competency. Ensure proper follow up to Audits and Inspections, ensure the highest standard in compliance with SOLAS, MARPOL and Classification Society (Lloyd’s Register of London) rules & regulations.
Plans the dry-docking operation.
Oversee the training of deck &engine officers, establishes performance records and evaluate career advancements. I am also responsible for overseeing and coordinating Hotel modification and upgrades, refurbishments and revitalization projects.
In charge of Safety maintenance and compliance to regulatory bodies, ensures that structural modification are reflected in the ship’s Fire Control Plans, General Arrangement and Lifesaving plans. Oversee the Environmental Operations for the assigned ships.
October 2007 – Dry-dock. Oversaw an assigned budget of eight million dollars.?

In charge of supervising safety aboard the four assigned fleet ships, planned maintenance of lifesaving appliances, firefighting systems.. Verify compliance with SOLAS requirement and Classification Society (Lloyd’s). Conduct technical safety inspections, prepare dry-docks and budget planning for Regular Operations and Dry dockings of the assigned ships.

Installed, tested, and maintained incinerator system, food waste pulper plant, and vacuum black and grey waters system. Operated and maintained chlorination system. Dry Dock: Responsible for overhauling shaft seals, propellers, thrusters, and stabilizers. Oversaw contractors and reported to Chief Engineer.
