A party to new commissioning vessel (Blue Chip 2) while ship construction was underway worked with builders in inspecting/repairing, and initiating systems online. Responsible for daily engine room operations including: main propulsion jet drives, 1825KW generators, pumps, HVAC, boilers, steam boilers, air compressors, fabricating, welding, ships plumbing and fuel systems, electrical wiring, oil systems, fire fighting equipment, ballast systems, and supervision of workers associated with my watch.

Responsible for daily engine room operations including: main propulsion Z drives, 1825KW generators, pumps, HVAC, air compressors, fabricating, welding, ships plumbing and fuel systems, electrical wiring, oil systems, fire fighting equipment, ballast systems, and supervision of workers associated with my watch.

Applied theory of operation of vacuum tubes, transistors, solid state devices, integrated circuit component, transformers, motors, generators, and electronic control circuitry including resistance, capacitance, inductance, as applicable; reading electrical schematics, wiring diagrams. Observes safety precautions while working on and around aircraft; diagnosed and isolated system failures of installed equipment, removal, installation, adjustments, alignment of system components, and repair or replacement of associated aircraft wiring and interconnecting devices; performed inspection of completed maintenance actions; conducted technical training within assigned area; monitored source data collections and assisted in the preparation of reports and records; assisted in the planning and scheduling of work assignments and supervised maintenance performed on installed systems.
