COMPANY PROFILE: It is a flagship company of Jindal group of industries having turnover of 5000 Cr. Currently it is mfg Pig iron, SAW Pipes, DI Pipes, Spiral pipes..

? In DI PIPE division, I am HOD of Casting Pipe Section .My job is related with

i) CCM production & Rejection Control mainly.

ii) Process control in Hot Zone (Melting, Casting & Heat-treatment of products) through time study, raw material consumption, micro analysis & mech. testings.

iii) Controlling the parameters of Heat-treatment Furnace.

Achievements:

i) Increased production from 85-95 to 100-115 Ton per shift immediately after joining the organization.

ii) Achieved highest production of 210 Ton / shift with 32 Ton / Hr of record so far.

iii) Also achieved Zero percent of casting rejection & less then 1% most of the time.

iv) Reduced overall rejection from 12 to below 8 %.

v) Giving education & training to the related technical persons; continuously motivating the production persons to get maximum output.



BATLIBOI Ltd.

COMPANY PROFILE: It is 125 yrs of old company; having different mfg. Divisions like Foundry, Machine Tools, Textile Machineries, Air Conditioning & Refrigeration.

My work was involed with

i) Melting process of Grey Iron, Ductile Iron & Alloy Cast Iron; the Heat treatment process & welding salvages.

ii) Heat-treatment of ferrous & non-ferrous castings like Annealing, Normalising, Stress relieving & Hardening.

iii) Refractory lining of Induction furnace, Cupola furnace, Oil-fired furnace & Heat treatment furnace

iv) Procurement & Inspection of raw material for the melting section

v) Cost analysis & Energy Conservation which help to reduce about 25 % of total power consumption.

vi) I also worked as ‘Non-Ferrous Section In-charge’ being responsible for the production of

Copper & Aluminum base alloy castings & directly reporting to foundry head .



Achievement:

i) Developed ‘Mist-Quenching Process’ of cooling of Hardening type of heat treatment process to acheive castings of Quality Hardness, i.e., between 200 – 220 BHN.

ii) Implemented new charging ratio of Cupola Furnace to improve metal temperature & reduce fuel consumption.

iii) Modified melting process for S.G. Iron grade 400/12 in as cast condition thereby avoiding subsequent heat treatment process.

Iv) Involved in ‘Energy-conservation work’ which helped to reduce about 25% of total energy consumption.



SWIL Ltd.

COMPANY PROFILE: It is a smelter & refinery plant having technical collaboration with BOLIDEN CONTECH,Sweden with mfg. capacity of 70000 Tpa of LME grade Copper cathodes.

i).Worked in Raw Material Handling System like different types of belt conveyor ,belt feeder,vibrator feeder,drier,drum screen,conveyor lence,etc; selection & charging of different raw materials in reqd. proportion & controlling it through the shop floor & DCS .

ii) Worked in Smelter furnace, Converter furnace & Anode furnace with repair & new refractory linning of these f/ces

iii) Worked in Slag granulation system, Dedusting System, Gas cleaning system along with Double Alkali Regeneration plant.



Achievement: Abled to work in any area of Smelter Plant
