· In 2009 I received a commendations for bravery for services rendered to my country which were deemed to be above and beyond the call of duty· In 2009 I received the Captain’s Award for saving the life of a fellow seaman· 2007 received first good conduct badge for 4 years exemplary service · I have spent over 1,000 days at sea· I have participated in support and operations in Afghanistan and Iraq· I have served in a number of conflict zones including Sierra Leone, Ivory Coast, and the Democratic Republic of Congo· 2006 helped to dig a well, build a school and paint a church in Sierra Leone· I have participated in boarding operations, anti-piracy, anti-drugs and people smuggling operations in West Africa and the Mediterranean· 2005 served for a period of time as driver and bodyguard to the commander of the amphibious task group· In 2000 I received the bronze level Duke of Edinburgh’s Award· Charity work for Help for Hero’s, Strathcarron Hospice and Dame Hannah Rogers School for children with severe physical disabilities
