Objective
I want to start as a deckhand with a chance to move up, or at least aquire enough experiance to gain a higher paying job with another company. or just to earn enough money to save for self employment.
Experience
I grew up in southeast Alaska, on Prince Of Wales island, I have been familier with boats and the sea since I was old enough to operate my own skiff at age 11. when I was 15 I went to work for Jason Clowar and Jory Nunn, two guys I had know for years. they hired me as a deckhand on their vessel, they were diving for sea cucumbers, and they needed somebody they trusted to operate the boat and equipment on the surface. the last year I worked for them, they help me pay for dive training and now I'm certified in that field. I have lots of other employers and work experiance but it doesnt pertain to this application.
Education
I was homeschooled all my life. nearly finished middle school, but went to work instead. three years later at age 15, I thought of finishing school, I took a grade placment test and placed in 9th grade. didnt finish highschool, went back to work. I am currently looking into nearby collages I can try for a GED.
Certification
EMT 1 (Emergency medical technician), state of Alaska. Traffic Flagger, (good nation wide). certified PADI open water diver.
Skils
I can operate a lot of power hand tools. I have had several hours of experiance with a wire feed welder, gas cutting torch. I have done a lot of carpentry, maintenance on vehicles. I have several hours of experiance with dive equipment.
I am currently unemployed since moving from Alaska, I have been volunteering at the Ash Flat AR, fire department for a month. adding to my experiance as a fire fighter in Alaska.
