I would like to assume an entry level position as a deckhand out of the Saint Louis, Missouri area. I am open to other job titles also.

I began my career as a Seasonal Maintenance Worker and progressed through the pay grade levels to the position of Maintenance Supervisor. I performed all aspects of routine and emergency maintenance on MODOT's right of way including Ensuring Safety of employees and the traveling public, asphalt, concrete, drainage,equipment repair, landscaping, welding and fabrication, snow removal, storm and flood response, etc. I was responsible for employee management including performance mgt.,training,scheduling assignments, leave management, etc. I have general office/clerical skills and am accustomed to Microsoft Office and Lotus Notes.
Allied Gear and Machine 5/1989 - 4/1996:
I began as a Machine Operator and ended my career there as a CNC Engraver. The company manufactured printing presses and labeling machines. I was involved in all aspects of producing the label cutting dies, print cylinders, and gears. They went out of business so I went to MODOT.

Skils
Construction type work,accomplished woodworker, material handling with front end loader and skid steer, various equipment operation, machine shop work, welding, fabrication, minor equipment repairs, emergency response (spills, weather events, accidents, etc.),supervision, environmental compliance (Spill Prevention Counter Control Plan),etc.
I am very reliable and do not miss work, When my career with MODOT came to a close I had nearly 1000 hours of sick leave accumulated and the maximum amount of vacation allowed.I am accustomed to working in all weather conditions and prefer outdoor work. I am accustomed to physically demanding work. I'm always ready for new challenges and opportunities to learn new skills or refresh old skills. I am committed to safety,dedicated, and results driven.I have very high expectations of myself and the quality of my work is proof of that. I'm very flexible and willing to work long hours. I don't mind travel and would enjoy working on or near water. I can pass a background check, but have made some mistakes in my past that I have worked very hard to correct. I look forward to beginning a new career with a company that appreciates their employees.
