Objective
Obtain a job working on the water as a deckhand in the Pierce/Kitsap County region.
Experience
Five summers working for Major Marine Tours in Whittier, AK. The boat I worked on was a 100' triple screw diesel, M/V Emerald Sea. Duties included working the lines of the boat leaving/arriving the dock. Trained in "Man Overboard" drills, fire safety drills, and evacuation drills. Other duties included cleaning engine/generator rooms and other bilges, various boat related general maintenance i.e. bottom painting, prepping hull for painting, etc.
Spent two winters working whale watching tours out of Lahaina, Maui. I did not have much experience there doing maintenance.
Education
1994 grad of Fife High School. Attended Pierce College for one year, did not earn AA degree.

I am looking for a career change and would love to get back to working on the water. I have spent my life around the water, and am feeling a calling to get back to the sea.
