• Performed periodic inspections of engine room

• Operate pumps to remove excess water from bilge

• Lubricate machinery and equipment

• Participated in numerous men overboard exercises and fire drills

• Basic plumbing and electrical fixes, scrubbing, mopping, painting of decks, motor room and wheelhouse



Security and Fire Alarm Systems Installer, September 2008 to Present



• Consult with clients to assess risks and to determine security requirements

• Provide customers with cost estimates for equipment installation

• Install video cameras and alarm system according to blueprints

• Mount and fasten control panels, door and window contacts and sensors

• Test systems to ensure proper functioning, and to diagnose malfunctions



Firefighter, June 2006 to June 2008



• Responsible for locating the fire, sizing up and relaying information to the officer-in-charge

• Searched and rescued people from hazardous areas

• Raised, positioned and climbed ladders and entered burning buildings wearing heavy protective clothing and breathing apparatus

• Operated hose lines and nozzles

• Operated power tools including oxy-acetylene torch

• Dug, moved heavy objects and worked in hazardous areas to rescue or extricate victims of various kinds of accidents

• Provided emergency medical treatment for injured of ill persons

• Conducted periodic inspection of buildings and private homes for fire hazards and hydrants for operations
