Nondestructive testing are noninvasive techniques to determine the integrity of a material, component or structure or quantitatively measure some characteristic of an object.
Basically I preformed different test on new and old welds and checked the thickness of the pipes in a chemical refinery.

Stand watch to look for obstructions in path of vessel, turn wheel on bridge, or use emergency equipment as directed by captain, mate, or pilot.
Break out, rig, overhaul, and store cargo-handling gear, stationary rigging, and running gear. Perform a variety of maintenance tasks to preserve the painted surface of the ship and to maintain line and ship equipment.
Travel along the Mississippi river to different docks.
When a ship came in we would retrieve the lines by hand and use a winch.
Also we used a boat to bring the heavier line to buoys positioned along the river.
