Deckhand

Objective


To provide strong workmanship upon a sea going vessel. I want to aquire more sea time, as a deckhand, to obtain AB certification.


Experience


SELF working on my property. For the last 4 years, my brother and I have constructed a shed, small living structure (with foundation), and have the post, beams, and rafters secure on our first house. Work includes; logging, concrete foundations, natural building, carpentry, and roofing.

BROKEN TREE FIRE SERVICE. Wildland Firefighter, summers 2006-08. Worked on crew of 3 on a type 6 engine. We provided water and hose-lays where accessible. We mostly moped-up and patrolled. Occasionally dug lines and Initial Attack. Boss-Dale Pickering. 208-926-7328.

On the M/V American Freedom; learned crane operation, drove forklift, some deck duties, and fish processing. Capt. Jeff Powell. 208-305-9420.

On the M/V Stellar Sea. Processed crab and cod in the Bering Sea.
