Coursework included constant testing on the Rules
of the Road, radio communications, celestial
navigation, radar usage, man overboard, mooring,
and ship handling drills using "T-Boats" on the
Thames River in CT, trained with computer generated
ship visual simulator (simulates bridge on ship with
different rules of the road meeting situations and
radio communications).
