I've been in engine rooms since 1974.I am experienced with EMD,ALCO,CAT,DETROIT.I'm an outstanding trouble shooter and on the spot repairer. Making old vessels work and turn a profit is what I do best.



8/2005 - 12/2006 Stabbert Maritime Offshore Seattle, Wa.

Chief Engineer Of three different science

research vessels.

One vessel was a converted seismic gun boat set up for an automated R.O.V. operating in the Gulf of Mexico. Equipped with two 3512 Caterpillars for power and parallel 3406 Caterpillar for electrical.

Second vessel also a gun boat converted to a four anchor dive platform. Equipped with two 3606 Caterpillars for power and parallel 3406 caterpillars for electrical.

Third vessel Started out as a Anchor Handling Tug Supply Boat which we converted to a ultrasound science research vessel for charting the waters of Alaska for NOAA. Then after an extended ship yard period which major steel work was done in all tanks two winches were added and four anchors to work as a dive platform. Which I remained aboard the vessel for both shipyard periods over seeing all repairs and refit. Then delivered the vessel through the

Panama canal to the Gulf of Mexico. Vessel powered by Alco 251V12 with Lufkin gears and Berg Johnson C.P. wheels. Electrical power provided by two 3406 Caterpillars split

buss.



7/2003 - 7/2005 Trico Marine Operators Houma, La.

Chief Engineer of a SOLAS Approved Frat.

Vessel, a Fuel only OSV. Both of which work in

Brazil. Also a 225’ OSV working in Nigeria. Also

chief of several OSV's in the gulf of Mexico.



The Frat. Vessel is DP and is equipped with 12V645 EMD for main propulsion and Cummins for all auxiliary engines.

Thrust Master drop down thrusters fore and aft.DP.

Controlled by either fan beam or Simran Satellite system.

The Fuel only OSV also equipped with 12V645 EMD for Main Engines and Cummins for auxiliary engines. Omega Jet thrusters fore and aft but not DP.The 225’ vessel is a stretched straight supply boat. Powered by 16V645 Turbo charged EMD and Detroit for Auxiliary engines. Dry bulk delivered by twin Leroi screw compressors. Also several supply vessels working in the Gulf of Mexico

OSV’s.

One type vessel using Becker rudders aft and a Thrust Master 360 degree drop down azimuth thruster. Powered by 3516 Caterpillar, and 3508 Caterpillar driving hydraulics for thruster. Parallel 3406 Caterpillars for generators. Second vessel powered by 3606 Caterpillar with for and aft tunnel thrusters, also having parallel generating system.

Chief Engineer of several types and sizes of OSV most powered by Caterpillar engines some Detroit.

Chief Engineer of A.H.T.S. Vessel. Powered by 16V645 Turbo EMD engines Equipped with a 250 ton pull Fritz Culver Dynamic hydraulic winch.

Engine experience includes Caterpillar, Detroit Diesel, and EMD. Two vessels having parallel generator systems. Some with electric mud and bulk systems, and some motor driven. One vessel had a duel piston positive displacement mud pump.
