Operations and Public Relations Officer – Duties Included: Customer Service of ships consigned to company in the ports of Recife and Suape located in the State of Pernambuco and in Cabedelo in the State of Paraiba. Management and communication with the Immigration Services of the Department of Federal Police, the National Agency for Public Health of the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Agriculture and the Port Authority of the Navy. The issue and release of documents pertinent to navigation and conduct through legal channels. Supply the formalities pertinent to each Ministry on embarkation, disembarkation and repatriation of crew members, stowaways and/or passengers. Legal processes for disembarkation and clearance of merchandise. Organize and coordinate tourist outings for ship crew members. Create and send direct communication to clients reaffirming the company’s commitment to quality service and maintaining excellent customer relations.
Faisca Comissaria Ltda: Customs Broker and Public Relations Officer, September 2001 to May 2003
Customs Broker and Public Relations Officer – Duties Included: Customer Service. Advertising. Prepare and present the estimate for services requested. Company representative to the Federal Tax Authorities, the Ministry of Agriculture, the Port Health Authority and Secretary to the Treasury. Conduct all services related to the disembarkation of imports and exports of containers, baggage, spare parts for ships and other materials. Monitor each stage of the dispatch process for merchandise to its final destination. Post sales support and maintaining excellent customer relations through Emails and direct mailings.
Brandao Filhos – Fortship (PE) Agencia Maritima Ltda: Customs Broker/Sales Executive, May 2003 to May 2004
Customs Broker/Sales Executive – Duties included: Representation of the organization in the following markets: East Coast of USA, the CONOSUR (Chile, Peru, Ecuador), the Mediterranean (Spain, Italy and France), MERCOSUL (Argentina and Uruguay), and Asia. International Marketing of the Company. Tend to clients, importers and exporters, by carrying out freight sales. Schedule ships with respective routes and ports of arrival and departure. Planning the distribution of merchandise in containers. Coordinating the reservation of space destined for cargo. Conduct periodical market research to update prices. Represent the company before the Federal Tax Authority with regard to disembarkation of merchandise (Imports/Exports). Monitor the dispatch of the merchandise and assure the success of each stage of operation.
