Experience


Position: Crew Management Operator (June 2009 - Jan 2012)

Company: DÖHLE Shipmanagement Phils Corp.

•The selection of Officers and Ratings crew as necessary;

•Ensuring that seafarers comply with all specified criteria for recruitment including STCW, Flag State and vessel requirements;

•The processing of flag state documents and visas as required;

•Making travel arrangements for crew to join and leave the vessel, liaising with Manning Agents as necessary;

•Monitoring the efficiency of sea staff via the appraisal system;

•Scheduling of Officers and Ratings joining and leaving the vessel;

•Ensuring the correct administration of the vessel's mail, cash to Master and crew supplies;

•Maintenance of crew records, payments, allotments and vessel correspondence;

•The preparation of reports and records for management;

•Updating crew and movement lists as required;

•Updating the Mariners system, including deleting expired or non-valid Certificates.

•Checking and approving invoices/disbursements relating to crewing;

•Liaising with ship/vessel Owners as required

•Liaising with other departments as required.



Position: Manning Operator (Aug 2007 - May 2009)

Company: DÖHLE-PHILMAN Manning Agency

•Communicate with Principals on matters regarding crew changes

•Dispatch & monitor status of seafarer for Pre-Employment Medical Examination.

•Ensure Statutory & Mandatory, National & International (STCW), Flag State and Principals requirements for joining seafarers are met.

•Preparations of POEA Contract of Employment, Letter of Request for Processing and Seafarers Information Sheet, dispatch requirements, declarations, addenda, guarantee letters, and other documentary requirements.

•Ensure that entry visa requirements including US Visa (if required) are met.

•Ensure flight bookings for joiners and off-signers are arranged.

•Coordinate with vessels agents regarding crew changes (if required).

•When required, send all documents to vessel, Principals and owners.

•Updating personal details and employment particulars of ex-crew in the Mariners including forward planning.

•Ensure completeness of 201-File of deployed seafarers.

•Prepare Crew on Board Report.

•Maintain and update records of crew changes.

•Initiate the prevention of non-conformance within the Department and report to the Crewing/Manning Manager/QMR any nonconformity.

•Assist the Crewing/Manning Manager in implementing the Quality Management System within the Crewing/Manning Department.

•Perform such other functions as may be prescribed by the President.



Position: IT Encoder (March 2006 - Aug 2007)

Company: DÖHLE-PHILMAN Manning Agency

•Performs scanning, encoding and uploading data of seafarer clients into the Mariners Crew Management System (MCMS).

•Maintains the MCMS.

•Provides basic computer training for seafarers.

•Assists the IT Officer and the IT Assistant in their different functions.
