Craft Manager (presently managing sheet metal shop)

Objective

An opportunity to obtain a project coordinator, project manager or estimator postion

Experience

I started working part time for North Florida Shipyard in Jacksonville, FL when I was seventeen years old. I worked there in the insulation department for five years. Then, I started working for Atlantic Marine Inc. (now BAEsystems), also in Jacksonville as a crew leader in the insulation department. After helping for several years with our yard's internal ISO audits, I transfered to the Quality Assurance Department. In the QA department, a ship would be assigned to me where I would handle all of the NDT, required reports and document control among other responsibilties. While with the QA department, I would fill in as a project coordinator, when needed. After about five and a half years in the QA department, I transfered to Craft Manager. This is the position I hold now and currently manage the sheet metal shop. Every transfer was for the purpose of advancement.

I have taken college courses over the year and I am currently pursuing a degree in Industrial Management.
