Container vessel stowage/central planner worked in container terminal

Objective


Having good knowledge, understanding and proven experience in vessel Planning , yard Planning , Operations and better touch of Business Process development, here I am seeking an opportunity to excel myself in your organization.


Experience


• Working knowledge and experience of NAVIS Power stow, NAVIS SPARCS, NAVIS EXPRESS, WEB ACCESS.CASP, and LOADICATOR.

• Working Knowledge of bridge system to check navigational routes of vessels

• Working Knowledge of FMS for weather monitoring.

• Knowledge on many terminal working style

• Experienced in all aspects of Planning, Stevedoring, Berth, Rail, Gate, Yard, Analytical States in operations.

• Having excellent understanding of terminal Key performance indicators with respect to its meaning, importance, calculation, effect on operation and relation with the business process.

• Supporting Operations support team and the team is performing well achieving all direct targets. Trained my subordinates for basic statistics data collection and reporting.

• Good skill of transferring information in the form of presentation using MS PowerPoint.

• Skill of going in depth of the statistical data, to correctly read it and to convert it to the information helpful for decision making to identify and remove the gaps and bottlenecks in the business process.

• Varied but accomplished background in Container Terminal Operations.



Vessel Stowage Planning:-

• coordinate, monitor and report on vessel operations.

• monitor, control, and report slot / weight utilization and space sell / buy.

• advise, control, and approve the shipment of special cargoes. .

• prepare proper stowage plans for effective vessel / cargo operations.

• monitor terminal performance and report as required.

• coordinate and monitor vessel performance and report as required.

• negotiate with TO for berthing, number of crane, working hour etc.



Schedule preparation/Recovery schedule:-

• act as the communication window for vessel.

• make a short or middle-term schedule if necessary.

• issue coastal schedule and recovery plans such as COR port rotation

in case of deviation occurred.



Lashing material Supply:-

manage and supply Lashing Materials and Dunnages based on vessel & service

requirement



Bunker Supply:-

• To determine Bunkering Volume and Port in consultation with the Master and BNKMO(Bunker team).

• To prepare Monthly bunkering plan depending on vessel's bunker requirement in service



Route & Weather monitoring:-

• To provide the Weather routing service

• To provide the necessary marine information to the master



Assistance to Trade Management, Fleet Management & Supervision Department

• To present technical assistance for party concerned in MOL such as Trade management

LFM & LSV

• To coordinate and report on marine technical issues for vessel / cargo operation.



Damage repair arrangement:-

• Coordinate with different port local offices for vessel damage repair arrangement



• Arranging damage repair depanding on cost, stowage, bunker & port stay/schedule



Special cargo approval:-

• To approve Special cargo shipment (D.G, B.Bulk, Over sized cargo, special stowage)

• Approve DG cargo based on IMDG

• Approve special cargo - Over sized cargo, special stowage based on MOL guidelines

• EAX services – East Africa Express : total 4 vessels / 2 MOL operated vessels.

Planner / Process Controller / Dispatcher



• Planning Vessels, Generating EDI , Yard Planning as per Berthing Windows

• Analyzes stowage specifications and vessel capacity data and performs required calculations to determine appropriate container loading configurations and placement to maximize container capacity.

• Approve Loading Plan from Chief Officer of Vessel

• Ensure cost effective utilization of all resources.

• Monitoring Vessel & yard Dispatching for smoother Operations.

• Avoiding Quay Crane Proximity.

• Communicating instructions from Shift Manager & Shift executine to Yard and Wharf through radio.

• Planning QC and RTG for Maintenance.

• Communication officer at the time of Emergencies at Terminal.

• Monitoring all Terminal Activities and informing superiors about abnormalities.

• Printing Plans and forwarding for Vessel and Yard operation.

• Keeping a log of all the Terminal activities and preparing reports shift wise.

• Information Interchange with various shipping lines and port control about Berthing and sailing Vessels.

• Formulates and implements a vessel stowage plan for cargo, directs loading and discharging of vessels and cargo transfer, monitors timely sailings and maintains regular communications with all necessary parties, etc.

• Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Creates vessel stowage plan for stevedore use.

• Maintains vessels on pro-forma schedule (for port rotations and vessel services).

• Expedites operations that delay schedules and alters schedules to meet unforeseen conditions.

• Prepares and maintains required production reports (utilization reports, regional departure reports, restow reports, OPODR (operational departure report), and vessel schedule reports). Reviews and approves all out of gauge (OOG) and break-bulk cargo handling applications for vessels planned. Coordinate working and port times with agents to minimize costs (stand-by, over-time, detention, guarantee, and restows).

• Ensures vessels meets schedule requirements
