#Operations: Inland transportation of containers all over India by Trucking/Rail rakes, through operational control of all location managers.
- Concluded all India Road tender (empty containers) for 2008 – Expected cost savings to exceed 5% (Approx. USD 187,000), vis a vis 2007.
- Accorded operational clearance for acceptance of an ICD (Inland Container Depot)
- Currently working on strategy on ‘Dispatch Center’ concept, whereby the volume/buying power amongst the entities of Maersk group operating in India will be leveraged to find substantial cost savings.
#Monitor: Performance and savings on dedicated block trains aligned with Maersk Mainline vessel calls, Rake management and Rail corridors.

Directorate General of Shipping, Mumbai (Maritime Administration of Govt.of India)
ASST. DIRECTOR GENERAL OF SHIPPING (2004-2007)
#Operations: Registration/renewal of licenses of Multimodal Transport Operators (MTOs) and redressal of grievances of Shippers and MTOs. Deal with on Port Congestion surcharges, container detention charges, terminal handling charges, and issue ‘No Objection Certificates’ (NOCs), for leasing of containers. Interact with Multimodal and Shipper’s associations and customs, ports, police and other Government bodies.
- Interacted with the Ministry of Law/Shipping, Government of India and stakeholders, on formulating amendments to the ‘Multimodal Transportation of Goods Act’, 1993.
- Drafted ‘Shipping Trade Practices Act, 2005’, applicable to all ‘Maritime Transportation Logistics Service Providers’ of India.
- Streamlined issuance of registrations/renewals thereby reducing pendency of cases from one year and more to two months.
#Training: Oversee nearly 130 maritime Pre Sea, Post Sea, and Standards of Training, Certification and Watch keeping for Seafarers (STCW) modular courses in the 126 Maritime Training Institutes across India and monitoring performance and maintenance of International Standards as stipulated by International Maritime Organization (IMO)

#Survey and Admin: Administer ‘Minor Ports Survey Organization’, consisting of 160 personnel.
- Supervise hydrographic survey of minor ports of India, delivering periodical reports to Ministry of Shipping, Government of India. Participated in Crisis and Disaster Management; planned and coordinated logistics, mobilization and deployment of entire survey team for post ‘Tsunami’ survey of the affected ports.

#Operations: Deputy Team leader of an inspecting, auditing and certifying agency; directly responsible for conducting and overseeing acceptance trials of new state-of-the-art Weapons and Sensors from India and abroad, prior to induction into the Navy. Directly responsible for underwater hull survey of Ships. Effectively prioritised and handled multiple projects in approx. five to six Warships, at a time.
