Experience


From 11-03-2007 till to date Sun drilling, Kazakhstan

• Hands on experience in maintenance of all electrical equipment of the rig, including Top drive Can Rig-(USA-Technology) with AC Drilling motors with VFD system.

• Rotary Table with AC motors with VFD controls.

• SCR systems, ABB & Seamen-make- soft starters.

• Good knowledge of PLC-programming & trouble shooting.

• Maintains control over the rig’s Preventive Maintenance System (PMS) and associated computer database and ensures that the tool box talk, risk assessment of the job, permit to work and isolation systems are strictly adhered to in the maintenance department.

• Maintain an adequate supply of spares in order to fulfill maintenance requirements and ensure that reports for repair and maintenance of equipment are accurate and complete.

• Clients: Max petroleum, KOA and so on.



Previous Experience

From 05 Mar 2002 to 14-01-2007 in MV Trident Bibby One.

• Wide ranging experience in complete Barge Electrical systems Inspection, Installations, setting to work, testing & tuning , Calibration & Commissioning, operation, Defect analysis, trouble- shooting , fault finding and rectification, Overhauling of electrical equipment.

• Worked with the clients Saudi Armco (Saudi Arabia,), Occidental (Qatar), Qatar petroleum, Total (Abu dhabi) & so on…

Essential Functions:

• Maintain, repair and trouble shoot ISO drive SCR system with Allen Bradley SLC 500 PLC control system of Self Electrical propulsion system using GE 752 DC Shunt motors of 1000HP.

• Maintain, repair of SEA REX (USA) Electro- hydraulic jacking system with ‘Allen Bradley’ SLC 500 PLC control system.

• PC based Planned Preventive Maintenance by computer Soft ware AMOS (M&P), condition based Maintenance and breakdown Maintenance by operational readiness with zero accident concepts and document the work performed on machinery.

• PC based Inventory Management (AMOS M&P soft ware) for easy retrieval, order, custody and accounting of Electrical spare gear.

• Performs and interpret power calculations, power factor, insulation tests and positive relay tests

• Diagnoses malfunctioning apparatus & repairs of transformer, motors, relays, switches, sensing devices, and lighting fixtures rotating machinery, pumps, lighting and alarm system.

• Diagnoses and repairs or replaces faulty electronic components, such as printed circuit boards and replaces Electric motor bearings & rewires motors.

• Perform other duties & special projects as assigned.


Education


• Degree in Electrical Engineering i.e. A.M.I.E (I) –Passed Sections A & B of the Institution Examinations from the Institution of Engineers(I) (Kolkata) –India in year 1999 which is recognized by the Govt. of India at par with B.E.(Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering)

• Diploma in Electrical Engineering , first class with distinction from Govt.Polytechnic, Srikakulam (AP) –year 1984

• Additional Diploma in Marine Electrical Engineering and also completed other Marine Electrical specialization Courses.
