Chief radio officer, Third mate, ship's electrician or deckhand

Objective


I would like to have a job as chief radio officer or third mate on cargo vessel or on a cruise ship. I would also be willing to work as deckhand.


Experience


I have worked as chief radio officer on large cargo vessels for 30 years. I also worked for two years as third mate on large cargo vessels.


Education


I graduated from Kherson Sea-going college in 1970, and earned profession of ship radio communication and electro radio navigation. I have also aquired Third mate profession in 2002 in Kiev Academy of Water Transport.


Certification


First-class radio operator, endorsement chief of ship's radio station. Certificate GMDSS general operator. Certificate short voyages navigator, edorsement third mate.

Certifications: ships safety officer, radar observation and potting, the operational use of ARPAs, ships carying dangerous and hazardous cargoes, competence in advenced fire fighting, competence in medical first aid, competence in elementary first aid, personal safety and social responsibilities. Proficiency survival craft. Certificate electrician, endorsement first class ship's electrician.

I am a Ukrainian citizen, but I have a work permit in the USA. I currently reside in Palm Beach county, Florida. All of my certificates correspond to international standards of marine industry. I have all my certificates with me in USA, and I can present them if needed. My english speaking abilities are fair and I am currently enroled in ESOL class.
