Profile

I started my seagoing career in 1972 sailing as Deck Boy on general cargo vessels.

In 1977 I moved to  offshore supply vessels  in the North Sea where I spent the next 30 years rising to Master in 1995

Since 1998 I have been continuously employed as either Mate/Master or Driving Mate providing 24 hour vessel operations with the Master. 

In 2006 I joined Swire Pacific Offshore where I have continued as Driving Mate on a variety of supply vessels in many parts of the world.

Since 2010 I have been sailing as senior DPO and hold an unlimited DPO Certificate.

Qualifications

Master LEA to 5000gt

Chief Mate LEA to 10000gt

Chief Mate Unlimited area to 5000gt

All STCW Certs valid to 2021

GMDSS, Ship Security Officer, Ship Safety Officer, BOSIET, HUET
