I am an engineering graduate & working as chief engineer in Hongkong based shipping company. I have worked on oil tanker, container, bulk carrier & general cargo vessels. I am looking for shore job or job requiring occasional sailing since continuous sailing has become difficult due to family circumstances.

Work Experience :-
· Operation & maintenance of shipboard machineries of extra high rating ( two/four stroke engines, steam turbines , air conditioning plant, refrigeration plant , boiler , compressors , pumps , hydraulic equipments , safety equipments , fire fighting equipments etc
· Led engine room staff for normal running and operations of the plant on board ship.
· Successfully passed various audits (including ISM ) , surveys carried out by various classification societies and inspections carried out by various port state control including U.S. coast Guard, Australian authority related to safety, Quality Control and Environmental Protection.
· As chief engineer & second engineer trained ship staff on matters of safety in ship operations, marine pollution prevention and ensuring safe working practices.
· Experienced in modifying existing PMS & installing PMS on board on newly take over vessel
· Supervised the loading and discharge process for the transfer of various type of cargo in bulk, planned cargo operations by providing an efficient and responsive plant, resulting in significant savings of time & capital.

Present job:-
Working in Fleet management limited (Hongkong based company) as chief engineer. My present job involves-
· Responsible for operation & maintenance of shipboard machineries of extra high rating ( two/four stroke engines, steam turbines , air conditioning plant, refrigeration plant , boiler , compressors , pumps , hydraulic equipments , safety equipments , fire fighting equipments etc.)
· Responsible for implementation of planned maintenance system on board , ensuring adequate spare/store inventory .
· Supervision and control over subordinate staff . Training of ship staff on matters of safety in ship operations, marine pollution prevention and ensuring safe working practices.
· Keeping safety & anti pollution equipments in order as per international regulations and requirements.
· Maintaining / updating record & filing system as per company policy, regular communication & feed back to the company for effective coordination. Implementation of company various policies including ISM.
· To ensure that various audits , surveys are carried out in time as per requirement. Keeping record and machinery ready to meet survey and audit requirement
· Coordinating with head office in matter related to technical, safety, quality control & environmental protection.
