Objective: I am pursing a position to utilize my unlimited mariners’ Licenses as 2nd Assistant Engineer or Chief Engineer Unlimited OSV. My goal is to continue my professional path with a position of integrity, successful company to utilize my skills as an engineering officer.
Professional experience: Merchant Marine Officer with over 30 years of experience in the maritime industry. I’m a result-focused person and have proven abilities in operations, repair and complete vessel maintenance. I also have exceptionally strong organizational, planning and communication skills.
In Addition, I am also proficient in and/ or have been accountable for:
- Safety Management Systems, (SMS);
- Vessel Operations; Budgeting; Vendor Management
- Preventive Maintenance; Troubleshooting
- USCG and ABS regulatory organization
My experience is with Diesel Electric (Kvar) systems. Pumps, Power grids and all vessel associated machinery. I am proficient at facilitating the every day operations of bulk cargo, products and supplies. I have worked aboard many hours with diesel electric vessels classified SOLAS, DPI DPII, as well as conventional shaft vessels during my many endeavors. I am very familiar with Programmable Logic Control of several software arrangements. I have experience with MAN 8L 32/40 and 9L 32/40, Cummins, Caterpillar, EMD, along with hydraulic Z-Drives and L-Drives, Asynchronous, and Direct Current arrangements; I have accomplished proficient troubleshooting and repairs on many shipboard systems. I also have experience with LPG storage; namely Butadiene1010 and 1075 Propylene/Propane mixture. Loading / Unloading Hazardous Material handling and Training Experience.
