Professional Experience
Jan 1999 to present:
Chief Engineer on six US vessels including 1000ft LMSRs’, USNS Benevidez and USNS Brittin, Grain Carrier MV Liberty Spirit, GT Athena II Gas Turbine vessels. Voyaging world wide with shipping companies including: Liberty Maritime, Chouest Edison, Seaward Services, Maersk Line Ltd., Sealift Inc., Osprey, US Shipping Partners, Amsea, Waterman Steamships, & Keystone . The work entailed implementing preventative maintenance programs, trouble shooting engine room main engine and auxiliary ship board equipment failures including cranes, winches/windlasses and making repairs. Supervising engine room engineers and unlicensed personnel to maintain a safe and efficient engine room and ship board equipment to keep the ships moving.
