First or second assistant engineer
Experience
Chief engineer on some different wear ships in Latvia Navy. First one was patrol boat of Storm class (Norway) with MTU mine engines. Second was mine sweeper of Kondor II class (Germany) with DM40 engines (Russia) and finally on mine hunter of Alkmaar class (Nederland, Belgia and Franc) with ARUB 215x12 (Nederland)
Operate and maintain propulsion and other systems such as electric power generators, lighting, refrigeration and water systems.
Service and inspect engines and gas turbines.
Supervise other engineers to maintain the ship.
Conduct engineer training to ensure their adequate. qualification
Read and understand blueprint and schematic readings, building codes.
