Objective


Seeking USCG Chief Engineer's position on OSV vessels requiring an unlimited hp license with a 1 to 2 month rotation or short relief jobs on large ships.


Experience


Trained as a engineer cadet in the UK, sailed on the Great Lakes and deep sea on Canadian ships for 9 years. Chief engineer on bulk carriers with Halco.

Spent last 13 years on US flagged ships. Chief Engineer on large USNS ships, and off shore supply vessels in the Gulf of Mexico.

Shipping companies include: Keystone Shipping, Amsea, Waterman Steamships, Seaward Services,

Edison Chouest.


Education


Marine Engineer Cadetship 4.5 years

Diploma in Marine Engineering UK


Certification


US Unlimited h.p. Chief Engineer License, Motor/Steam/Gas Turbine

STCW / TWIC / Z card / Drug Free certification.

Vessel Security Officer

Universal Refrigeration / Small arms certification / First aid &CPR / Personal Survival / US Government security clearance.


Skils


Slow speed engines: B & W, Sulzer, Mitsubishi

and MAN trouble shooting and engine rebuilds.

Diesel generator rebuilds.

Machining/welding.

Boiler Water Treatment.

Acid Cleaning.
