Duties and Responsibilities: Assigned to New Ship Construction team at NASSCO.

Owner’s Representative during all phases of the construction of two Diesel Electric trailer carriers. Responsible for approval of ship’s systems construction. Assigned to lead ship original crew (M/V Midnight Sun). Responsible for engine department training. Responsible for engineering modifications and repairs during warrantee period.

Duties and Responsibilities: Directly responsible for the operation and maintenance of all main and auxiliary machinery on fast turnaround cargo vessels (Ro-Ro, LASH), Tankers, and passenger vessels. Supervised and trained the junior engineers and unlicensed crew during a ship's start up and routine operations. Directly involved in machinery repair decisions during various shipyard periods. Participated in USCG Certificate of Inspections and ABS Special Surveys.

Duties and Responsibilities: Participated in the navigation and cargo handling of Tankers, Ro-Ro's, Bulkers and Breakbulk vessels. Participated in USCG Certificate of Inspections and ABS Surveys as deck officer during shipyard periods. Participated in the conversion of US vessels to IMO safety standards as well as vetting inspections from oil refinery personnel and port state control authorities.
