For Offshore Tug vessel working under contract for Military Sealift Command in the South Pacific, Guam, Panama, Bering Sea and Aleutian Islands, supervise and lead in the requisition, inspection, storage, preparation, cooking, portioning and serving of meats, fish, fowl, vegetables, cereals, soups, fruits and other forms of food for crew and offshore workers on board the vessel. Schedule and assign work ensuring proper distribution of duties and adequate manning, space and facilities for subsequent performance of duties. Plan menus and provision adequate food supplies for duration of voyage; maintain necessary food production records; make changes in recipes and cooking methods to improve quality of foodstuff. Maintain a clean galley, mess room and associated equipment. Inventory and requisition cleaning supplies and equipment. Plan, requisition and store medical supplies adequate for safety of crew and galley personnel according to C.G. regulations. Create and maintain inventory and stores records, pre-order supplies in preparation for next voyage.
