January 2002 to PresentLocomotive mechanic, overseas day to day operations of maintenance, repair and restoration of EMD and GE locomotives.Duties include rebuilding of switch gear, traction motors, diagnosing and solving prime mover engine problems, painting, minor welding, fabrication, and knowledge of basic locomotive wiring.
Newton General Hospital- February 2001 to January 2002 HVAC Technician
Responsibilities included maintenance and repair of 2 one hundred horsepower boilers, one 300 ton, four 150 ton A/C chillers. Plumbing repair in-patient rooms, hospital bed maintenance and repair. 100 IN WALL heating
and air-conditioning units.
Apex Supply Company-January 2000 to February 2001
HVAC counter sales, / PLUMBING counter sales. Sold air conditioners, furnaces, ductwork, thermostats, toilets fiberglass tubs and showers faucets and associated products to contractors and the general public.
Railrhodes Inc - June 1997 to January 2000
Diesel Mechanic / Experience includes rebuilding EMD 567/645 A, B, C
engines and associated equipment. Rebuilding trucks and traction motors, brake rigging /cylinders. Turning wheels and 92 day FRA inspections. Main Generator change outs, air compressor replacements.
Moncrief Heating & Air-conditioning – April 1996 to June 1997
Service technician certified by the ACCA, EPA for refrigerant transition and recovery on type I & II appliances. Also serviced water heaters and gas furnaces
from 30,000 BTU to 150,000 BTU. Maintenance performed on boilers ranging
from 150,000 BTU to 400,000 BTU.
Naval Station – Charleston, SC / May 1993 to May April 1996
Responsibilities included certification as Chief Engineer on a navy large harbor tug. Engine plant consisted of an EMD 645 V-12 main propulsion diesel, 2Ea.
Detroit diesel 4-71 generator sets of 15 KW capacity.
EXPERIENCE: Rodman Naval Station – Panama City, Panama
April 1990 to May 1993
Experience entailed extensive work for Special Boat Unit. Duties included
practical use and training in Navigation and Radio/Radar Operation.
Responsibilities included second in command to Mark IV Patrol Boat Captain as Combat Craft. Engineer. Machinery, 3Ea. 12V–71 TI Detroit diesels, 2Ea.4 cyl. Onan generators 15 KW each.
USS Midway CV-41 – Yokosuka, Japan November 1987 to February 1990
Duties include maintenance of Air Conditioning and Refrigeration systems and
equipment. A/C equipment included chillers from 150-350 Ton and 10 Ton
compressors for large chill boxes. Emergency diesel experience includes 2 each Fairbanks Morse 9 38D 8 1/8 x 10. Opposed piston engines, connected to 850 KW generators. Received additional Mechanical experience as a certified Small Boat Engineer on 2 each 40’ CATAINS boats with Detroit diesel 6-71 series engines, 2 each 26’ MOTOR WHALE BOATS with 4 cylinder WESTERBEKE engines.
