Chef/Deckhand

Objective


I would like to expand my knowlage, meet new people. And learn new skills. While working as hard as i can along the way.


Experience


I started work in a 4 star hotel in the year 2000. and through a collage and work i became a fully qualified chef. M title in the kitchen was 2nd chef. I worked directly under the head chef. my duties included, menu planning, preperation and cooking, maintaining good hygiene, and directing staff. Then in Aug 2003, the opportunity came in the form of a job at sea, this is what i always wanted to do, so after 18 months sea training, i became a full deckhand onboard a ship called "MV DAGGRI" a 65.36 meter vessel.

Full secondary

2 years catering collage

18 months training (which was split between the shetland inter-island ferries and the North Atlantic Fisheries collage)

SVQ lv 2&3 in hospitality and catering

All current STCW's

Full First aid

Full ENG1 Medical certificate

Many Customer care related certificates

Servewise certificate

Full Clean UK driving license
