I would like to switch gears from security to safety related employment. Possibly pollution control or environmental impact related work. I will consider working anywhere in between Portland, ME and New York, NY.

Port Imperial Ferry Corporation (D.B.A. NY Waterway) Weehawken, NJ 7/2004 – Present
Port Captain
·Responsible for the scheduling and assignment of 85 deck hands, 43 captains and 34 vessels servicing over twenty ferry routes within an operating area extending from Monmouth County, NJ to Orange County NY.
·Responsible for the daily dispatching and scheduling of vessels for scheduled revenue service and preventative and corrective maintenance programs.
·Responsible for fleet fueling operation and related environmental regulatory compliance. Operation presently pumps in excess of 13,000 gallons of U.L.S.D. fuel per day by truck and from under ground storage facilities.
·Liaison to US Coast Guard for all safety and security inspections aboard 34 vessels and in 7 terminals.
·Liaison to New York City Department of Transportation for all safety and security inspections in City owned terminals.
·Company Breath Alcohol Technician for post incident or reasonable suspicion candidates.
·Establishes training procedures and schedule for captains and deckhands with respect to vessel orientation and operation.
·Responsible for oversight of supply and specialty equipment procurement and distribution for vessels.
Accomplishments and Projects:
·Worked with Caterpillar Inc. to test and retrofit 70 3406E main engines with a Separate Circuit After Cooler (SCAC) system, thereby eliminating seawater infiltration from the charge air cooler.
·Assisted in training local and state Police K-9 units aboard passenger vessels.
·Worked with the US Coast Guard, NYC DOT and the Port Authority of NY and NJ to develop security plans for three of the nation’s busiest ferry terminals including Port Imperial Weehawken, NJ, Pier 79 Midtown Manhattan and World Financial Center/Battery Park City Manhattan.
·Worked with the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office to provide security training for NY Waterway captains.
·Worked with USCG Tactical Operations and USCG Prevention in training of Bergen, Essex, Morris and Passaic County Rapid Deployment Teams in maritime security.
·Worked with Human Resources to establish random drug screening procedures that would not interfere with NY Waterway operations.
