Full or part time contract employment on East/Gulf Coast ATB unit or harbor tug, including "Z" drive.
Experience
Over 34 years experience on tugs, 29 of which served as Captain. Command experience includes ATB, single, twin, and ASD tractors in ocean, harbor, and escort service on all 3 US Coasts. Past employers Moran & SeaRiver Maritime (retired from SeaRiver in 1/07). Also have office setting and training program development experience. Currently doing occasional contract work for the Maritime Institute of Training & Graduate Studies (MITAGS) as a tractor tug simulator training facilitator.
Education
Bachelor's Degree in Nautical Science from Maine Maritime Academy, 1972
Various training facilities for marine firefighting, emergency medical, and simulator emergency prep training.
Certification
USCG license - Master of steam & motor vessels of not more than 3000 GT upon oceans; radar observer unlimited; Master of towing vessels upon oceans; Third Mate oceans, any GT
STCW Certificate
GMDSS Radio Operator's license
TWIC Card
USCG recognized Designated Examiner for towing vessel license candidates.
