Objective
I would like to resume command of a research/luxury/commercial liner. Having been out at sea since the age of 17, I have developed a passion for sailing on motor vessels. I have risen through the ranks and had assumed command for the first time in 2011. I have gained extensive experience sailing on commercial vessels and would like to use the skills I have acquired to the safe operations of vessels I will command in the future.
Experience
I have been sailing as a master with Angloeastern group on their dry bulk fleet. My last vessel had a DWT of 53617 and was equipped with cranes and grabs. I have sailed as a chief mate on capesize and panamax bulk carriers. I have also sailed on VLCCs and smaller oil tankers as mate. My total sea experience includes 11 months on VLCCs, 13 months on crude oil tankers, and a total of about 72 months on bulk/general cargo vessels.

Education
After graduating high school, I had attended a three month pre sea training programme for deck cadets. I had then sailed on varying capacities on ocean going liners while taking breaks in between to attend college and appear for examinations for 2nd mates, chief mates and master's licences.

Skils
I have gained extensive experience sailing on commercial vessels as mentioned above. My strengths include strong understanding of the principles of seamanship and navigational/commercial knowledge for operation of vessels. I am hardworking, trustworthy, ethical, self-motivated and have a desire for continuous personal growth. I am very passionate about the performance of my vessel, safety of personnel and protection of the marine environment. I take great pride in being in command and I am very motivated to perform, and encourage my team to perform to the best of our abilities.
