Objective
I'm interested in a captain's position on a sport-fishing yacht or motor yacht. I'm experienced in the Great Lakes, the Atlantic US coast, the Gulf of Mexico, the Bahamas, and the Carribean.
Experience
Captain of a 68" Hatteras sport fish for the last 2 years. This boat was new from the factory, and I was responsible for outfitting and rigging the boat for fishing. Details and references available upon request.
Education
High school graduate in 1972. I have attended various marine training schools as part of a previous license.
Certification
Previously a 1600 ton Ocean Master who allowed my license to lapse in 1999. Currently a 100 ton Coastwise Master
Skils
Computer literate, could qualify as an unlicensed engineer- familiar with troubleshooting both mechanical and electrical issues. Minimal experience with hydraulics. Attended captain's school for Cat ACERT engines. Familiar with the application of paints and varnishes.
I keep a clean boat and I am used to frequent travel.
