Experience


Summary:

20 years of boating/blue water experience. 10 of those years while serving in the United States Coast Guard as a Quartermaster (QM1 – E6). Six of these years as a yacht owner, two years as a crew member of the 50’ Morgan(SV) “No Clew”, that circumnavigated in 1989-90 and three of these years serving as Master/Owner of a charter sailing yacht “Princess of Tides”. in the Bahamas and Caribbean Sea.



Waters:

Extensive experience in the Bahamas, the Caribbean, Florida and the rest of the East Coast. Additional experience in the Gulf Coast, North and South Atlantic, Bering Sea, Arctic and Antarctic, Mediterranean, Indian Oceans.



Vessel Profiles:

Power boats up to 95’ (non-military) w/single or twin screws, 4-16 cyl; single and twin engine.



Sailboats up to 60’ (non-military), sloop, ketch, schooner w/aux. diesel engine(s).

Power vessels up to 400’ (military) on Coast Guard icebreakers, 2-4 engines w/twin to triple screws to 36,000 hp.
